Adjara Group’s Contribution to the 1anoba Fund
Adjara Group has raised 30,000GEL for the 1anoba Fund which is a platform for volunteers to come together and help vulnerable communities to overcome unprecedented challenges caused by the Covid-19 crisis.
The funds were partly collected through the ongoing partnership with Glovo and Wolt. The donation money was also raised from the vouchers sold on the Adjara Group’s #TOGETHER platform. The company has increased its contribution by supporting a charity concert organized by Adjarabet and Rustavi 2.
30,000 GEL raised throughout the March-June period, has already assisted over 1,000 families with medication, food, and other essential products. The fund is also providing long-term support to a number of families facing hardships as a result of a recent passing or illness of a family member.
The 1anoba Fund was initiated in March 2020, by the CEO of Adjara Group Valeri Chekheria, Georgian Farmers’ Association Chairwoman Nino Zambakhidze, and Business Accelerator Spark Manager Sandro Kandelaki.
Today, 2,000 volunteers and 7,000 vulnerable families looking for support are registered on the 1anoba Fund’s website. As a result of donations from individuals, businesses, and organizations, more than 6,000 families living in Georgia have already received assistance.
