The former thermal power plant has been transformed into TEC – Space for Arts & Culture, an animated cultural hub that hosts some of Tbilisi's most prominent cultural events. TEC stands at the heart of one of the city's largest cultural ecosystems, bringing together art institutions, community initiatives, and social spaces under one roof. It is a focal point for music, art, performances, and festivals, playing a key role in shaping Tbilisi’s cultural landscape.
Event Venue
On the premises of TEC lies an event venue capable of accommodating a wide variety of festivals across its diverse spaces. The site includes a large event hall that serves as the main stage, a spacious yard perfect for festival pop-ups like food courts and partner-branded zones, and additional areas designed for workshops, exhibitions, and smaller stages.
The residents
TEC operates as a tenant-based system, granting creative freedom to its residents to cultivate unique cultural environments. It is home to art institutions like the Center for Contemporary Art (CCA) and Artarea, the internationally acclaimed community radio station Mutant Radio, as well as some of Tbilisi’s top clubs and social spaces, including Left Bank, TES, and Tbili Orgia.
